Delicious Discoveries

Starting my own food tour company has been a dream in the making, ever since I participated in my very first food tour in Chicago in 2011. Back then, and on every food tour I’ve taken since, I’ve had this little voice in the back of my head saying you could do this!

Over the years, travelling through my 31 countries and counting, I have always felt that many food tours don’t have enough walking, and most walking tours could use a few snacks! So why not combine them?

I have been working as a tour guide for the last eight months, but I think I have been guiding people for most of my life. All of my jobs have had elements of presenting information, communicating and storytelling. I’m usually the one in the group picking the restaurant or activity, plus I love to perform. You add that to my insatiable need to point out fun facts, add a hambone, and well you’ve got a stew going. Whoops… have I slipped into my Arrested Development references again?! Well, I digress.

The point is, I am super excited to embark on this food tour journey, with my very first Delicious Discoveries tour: St. Clair West & Casa Loma.

I’ll be uploading more blogs regarding the neighbourhood, and why I think it is a foodie gem, along with a great place to see the real Toronto, beyond the main tourist destinations downtown in the coming weeks.
