What is your cancellation policy?

All ticket sales are final, however with the purchase of the Experience Cancellation Insurance, you may cancel a regularly scheduled group tour for ANY reason and receive a full refund or reschedule to another date. Cancellation requests must be emailed to hello.delicious.discoveries@gmail.com up to three hours ahead of the start time to be valid (no exceptions). Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, advanced booking is required. Walk-ups cannot be accommodated.

What is Experience Cancellation Insurance?

Experience Cancellation Insurance gives you the peace of mind that you may cancel a regularly scheduled group tour for ANY reason and receive a full refund or reschedule to another date. This insurance is recommended to protect your experience, and provide you with flexibility. Cancellation requests MUST be emailed to hello.delicious.discoveries@gmail.com up to THREE hours ahead of the start time to be valid (No exceptions. Direct Messages on Instagram or other platforms will not be accepted.) More details on the cancellation and rescheduling policy can be found here.

Which dietary restrictions can be accommodated?

At this time, the regularly scheduled group tour can accommodate vegetarians (dairy/eggs ok). We hope to include additional options for other types of restrictions in the future. If you are ok with meat and/or vegetarian (dairy/eggs ok) but have an allergy, please include this information in your registration form.

I have an allergy, can I still attend?

Please be sure to indicate if you have an allergy and its severity on the registration form so that we can assess whether it can be accommodated. We will inform you by email if we are unable to accommodate you and will offer you a full refund if so. Note that we must be informed of any allergies upon booking.

Is there parking close to the starting location of the experience?

Each experience page will let you know what, if any, kind of parking is available at the starting location. Toronto has many paid parking lots and street parking, as well as free parking in some areas. Please ensure you obey local signs to avoid getting a ticket.

Will there be bathroom breaks during the experience?

Our experiences are designed for your maximum enjoyment and comfort there are plenty of bathroom breaks available throughout the routes.

What about bad weather?

Our experiences operate rain or shine. It is recommended you review the local weather to ensure you will be dressed appropriately.

Which languages are the experiences offered in?

Currently we offer our experiences in English, – and partial French :).

Are children allowed?

Children with curious and complex palates, preferably over 12 years of age are welcome to join; however there is no difference in pricing/portions. Please note that if you bring an infant who will not be participating in the food, due to the size limitations in some of our stops, you may need to leave your strollers outside.

Are the routes wheelchair accessible?

The current route of the St. Clair West & Casa Loma Food and Walking Experience is wheelchair accessible. Please note that the smoothness of sidewalks and roads may vary due to city construction and repairs. If you require accessibility assistance, kindly email us at hello.delicious.discoveries@gmail.com before booking to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

Is the whole experience just walking and eating?

No way! That is why they are called experiences, and not simply tours. You’ll get architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture, and delcious tastings all wrapped up in one great experience. We walk unique neighbourhoods, eating our local food and learning about the neighbourhood from real locals.

What is trip itinerary planning?

There is nothing worse while on your trip than realising you overpaid for an experience, could have spent less time getting to different places, or could have eaten at a hidden gem restaurant, if only you had a local consultant to help with your itinerary planning. We currently offer trip itinerary planning in Toronto. This is a personal service where you can consult with a local expert on the best things to do in Toronto, and the best way to plan your trip to maximize your time and money. Minimum Capacity

If the minimum number of participants for your experience (as noted on the registration page) is not met, Delicious Discoveries reserves the right to cancel an experience up to 24 hours in advance. In this case, you will be notified by email and may choose to reschedule or request a full refund.

What about gratuities/tips?

Gratuities/tips at the vendors and restaurants are covered in the cost of your experience.

Gratuities/tips for your guide are never expected but are always welcomed as a way to show you enjoyed your experience. The standard tip in the service industry in Canada is 15%-20%. These can be provided via cash after your experience, or email transfered to deldisc@wealthsimple.me

What should I bring with me?

– Water
– Phone/camera
– Comfortable walking shoes
– A small/medium bag or backpack to carry snacks or purchases home
– Credit cards/debit cards/cash in case you would like to purchase additional items from our stops
– Sunscreen/hat/umbrella/raincoat – weather in Toronto can be variable!
– A sense of humour/curiosity/an appetite

What kind of custom/private tours do you offer?

We are happy to offer a custom tour service or provide one of our regularly scheduled tours (currently the St. Clair West & Casa Loma tour) privately. When booking a custom private tour, your request will first be assessed to let you know the approximate time it will take to complete your request and schedule your tour. Custom tour planning can take between one to three weeks, and payment and information must be provided at least one week prior to the requested tour date. Custom Private Tours are non-refundable unless we are unable to fulfill the request.
